Access Location-Aware Services from the Web
September 23, 2004 (Filed under: Herecast, LBS, Heresay, New Features)It is now possible to preview most location-aware services directly from the Database Browser. For example, if you browse to a building at UWO, you will see links to all of the services offered there. This new feature makes it easier to contribute to location-aware communities such as Heresay. Even if you can't visit with a Wi-Fi enabled PDA, you can still leave messages "in" that building from your web browser.
In related news, the Heresay service now offers RSS feeds, so you can be alerted when new messages are posted to your favourite buildings.
